Dear Abbey is the love child of my life as a wife, mother, business owner, writer, chicken farmer, and girl who doesn’t have it all together but always has the best intentions at heart. I truly try my best to keep all of the spinning plates of my life in the air but if I’ve learned anything on this journey, I’ve learned that sometimes you can’t avoid one or two plates from crashing to the ground. It’s just the way life goes and honestly, that’s ok.
Motherhood first introduced me to this theory of crashing plates. No matter how hard I tried, I always felt like I wasn’t quite perfecting the balancing act. Throwing into the mix my role as a wife/business owner also added more dimensions and soon I learned that having everything tied up in a neat little bow was complete crap. This perfect person I thought existed was purely fictional and from that moment on, I felt compelled to preach honesty.
I am now ten full years into my beautiful and chaotic life as a wife/mother/business owner/writer/chicken farmer, and have decided to take you along for the ride.
